Obviously I love the whole 'Jedi/Mandalorian Rivalry' thing so here's my version of a one on one duel that's about to end. I make no opinions (officially) but one of these two isn't getting back up.

Looking at it, I think the background is indeed lame, but I had no brilliant ideas about what to do with it.

This was colored in Painter X.

This is best Fett piece I have ever come across! What's a guy gotta do to get a print of this? Needs to be on my wall ASAP.

Phenomenal. A story I am working on has a similar scene. Knife V Saber. Mando wins.

Anyone ever notice how the samurai resemble the Jedi when dressed casually (in robes) and resemble the madalorians when wearing armor? I know that the Jedi are heavily influenced by aspects of the samurai culture (robes, importance of lightsaber, development of mental focus, a code of civil duty), and that the mandalorians are supposed to be based off of Celts, but I'm starting to think that there's just as much samurai in the mandalorians as in the Jedi (the use of armor, the importance of family and honor, dedication to martial skill and seeking glory in battle, as well as an instinctual drive to conquer).

These aspects of mandalorian culture were/still are being evolved by writers wanting to play to the fans. I agree that there are some cultural similarities. Visually, the only thing they have in common is the fact that they personalize their armor.

Star Wars' overall "look" is being changed by artists of the newer generation, for the worse in my opinion, to look more like medieval or high fantasy.

I don't mind the back ground, it allows the viewers to focus on the Mando and the Jedi. Personally I hope the Mando wins.

What's so incredibly awesome about the Mandalorians is that they don't have to be Force-sensitive in order to be badass characters. Too often, Star Wars literature puts too much emphasis on Jedi/Sith characters and makes the rest of us "common" people feel pretty useless to the story.

Let's be honest, though. Being a Force-sensitive Mando would be doubly awesome.

Their attitude is what makes them both dangerous and cool. If you wake up every morning and devote yourself all day to being the baddest mofo in the galaxy, you don't need the force. :)

Love the motion in this and the scarring on the Mando's armor.
Hope the Mando won.
People only wearing long flowing robes in battle deserve to get stabbed.
