I love this picture! I've been replaying Fallout recently, and this is the coolest looking armor in the game by far. You have done it justice here. Cool to see some hand-drawn art of this armor set that isn't the standard "pointing handgun near the viewer with a dark background and glowing eyes."
I think Bethesda set a bad precedent with Fallout 3 palette-wise. The first two games weren't afraid of using bold and natural colors and they were not lacking in the bleak department. After I got some lighting mods running, New Vegas and FO3 look much less boring.
The list of mods I use is quite long these days. Some of my favorites are CASM (a save game manager that helps a ton with dealing with crashes by auto saving in unique slots periodically), the Primary Needs HUD (shows needs and stats for hardcore mode on the screen so you dont have to keep checking in the pip-boy), New Vegas Bounties 1 and 2 (HUGE voice-acted quest mods that let you become a professional bounty hunter), and Signature Weapons (you can assign a weapon to be your 'signature,' at which point it will gain XP for kills and you can level its stats up.)
Interesting I'll definitely have to explore those! The Signature Weapons mod sounds cool. I already run an arsenal of heavily modded (as in in-game weapon mods) weapons and I like the ability to customize them, so more options for that sounds cool!
